Industry Partners to Increase Exposure and Rewards for Ad Contest Entrants

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – January 25, 2006 – Mozilla’s Firefox Flicks community marketing campaign is heating up. Today, Mozilla announces several new partners are joining the program. These “Friends of Firefox Flicks” work directly with professionals, amateurs and students in film, TV and advertising, and will be contributing to the Flicks team’s efforts in driving outreach and offering further exposure for the contest winners.

The Firefox Flicks Ad Contest is in full swing with dozens of professional and student teams working to produce a high quality 30-second commercial about the Firefox Web browser. The contest offers participants a unique chance to participate in the Firefox open source community, get noticed by their peers, and have their work reviewed by a panel of highly respected judges from the industry. Winners will gain invaluable exposure, be included in Firefox’s worldwide marketing campaign, and receive an array of great prizes including the grand prize $5,000 B&H gift certificate, which can be used to purchase that next piece of video or audio equipment.
