Amp Your Firefox Contest Honorable Mentions

Last month, we announced the category winners and overall winner of the Amp Your Firefox contest. However, there were so many great add-ons submitted that we thought it would be a shame not to give them some recognition.

Here are the add-ons that we think deserve an honorable mention:

Complete Themes

Mobile

  • Open Link in Zombie Tab – Add an option to open a link in a new tab without loading the page until you switch to the tab.
  • Total Title – Tired of tiny titles? Now you can view the total title.

Mobile Port

  • Stealthy Mobile – Does your country/organization block you from Facebook, YouTube or others? Stealthy is the solution for you. We do the work of looking for fast proxies for you.
  • SnipR (Server Network IP Resolver) – Discover where the hosts of the websites you visit are. Total timeout for hideous web servers!

Updated Add-ons

  • mPage – Simple dashboard-like RSS feed reader.
  • Wikipedia Spoiler Hider – Hides spoilers on Wikipedia. This extension looks for sections with certain key words, hides them, and provides buttons for you to click to toggle showing them.
  • AnonymoX – AnonymoX uses a proxy to hide your true identity on the internet.
  • Be Quiet! – Provides tool bar and keyboard media controls and more for several music sites. Adds automatic music pausing functionality when playing html5 videos or watching videos on Youtube.
  • Colorlicious – Make your browser unique by adding a splash of color.
  • Mind the Time – Keep track of how much time you spend on the web, and where you spend it.

    Why would anyone have a Firefox looking like Chrome when they can install Chrome, for free also ?
    Just a rhetoric question. 🙂

      I use FXChrome because I like the look of Chrome, but the functionality of Firefox.
