Tell us about your favorite add-ons for a chance to win one of three Android tablets!

In 200 words or less, tell us how your favorite Firefox Add-on makes your day more productive, saves you money, or just makes you happy. A special panel of judges will pick 10 finalists, and the AMO community will pick 3 winners. Each winner will receive an Android tablet and be featured on the addons.mozilla.org homepage!

Contest period: April 24, 2012 – June 24, 2012

To enter the contest:

  1. Write a review of your favorite add-on at https://addons.mozilla.org
  2. Send us a link to it using this form

To get the link to your review, click on “permalink” above your review and copy the URL:

Winner Selection

10 finalists will be selected by a panel of judges on or about July 4, 2012. The community will then select the final three winners based on the following criteria:

  • Is your story compelling?
  • How creative is your use of your favorite add-on?
  • Does your review capture the “spirit” of the AMO community?

Voting will end on or about July 18, 2012, and the winners will be announced on or about August 1, 2012.

  • Ken Saunders | Mozilla Contributor

Ken has been volunteering for Mozilla since 2005 and is the creator and project manager of Access Firefox. He’s also an Add-ons developer, Mozilla Accessibility steward, and a self-proclaimed add-ons junkie, with 56 add-ons enabled (68 installed).

  • Courtney Charet | Mozilla Contributor

Courtney has been a Persona designer and reviewer for over a year. Her Personas adorn the browsers of hundreds of thousands of Firefox users, who love her sparkly, flowing designs.

  • Jorge Villalobos | Add-ons Developer Relations Lead

Jorge is the Add-ons Developer Relations Lead at Mozilla. He manages the add-ons review team, add-on compatibility, and documentation. You’ll usually find him in his native Costa Rica, glued to his laptop and avoiding sunlight.

  • Matej Novak | Mozilla Scribe

Matej is Mozilla’s resident copywriter and all-around word guy. When he’s not working on a website or campaign, you’ll likely find him in a spirited debate about some obscure point of grammar or style—either with someone else or himself.

    the ability for working in other languages is best ability and if it can includ more languages such as kurdish it will be a very Impressive.

    I have been using Firefox fox 6 years and must say that my favourite add-on contnues to be Video Download Helper. I use it every single day to download tons of youtube videos. It is a must have, and I do not know what I would do without it. The developer of the add-on get’s my vote for this great add-on.

    I’ve started with Firefox for 6 years ago. Today, too many people moving to Chrome or another browsers but I’m still using Firefox. Firefox has a tons of features with un-replacable addons which has not available on others browsers. Firefox will live forever!

    Simply the best Ad-On for me its Proxytube It allows to me watching videos that I conldn’t watch before, because policies of my country and thisng liket hat, so I was pretty sad for not being waht I called a “complet fan of my favorite band” … So I just wrote in the band webpage about my problem 2 years ago and I didn’t find any response..but 1 month ago an user answer my comment with the word “PROXYTUBE – FIREFOX” and It was clear for me it was an ad.one I just Installed and could watch the video and my visit counted like ” a view” for my favorite band thans moxilla and its world-team

    THIS AD.ONE was the one that made me stay with mozilla in 2010 the first time i had Internet in my computer, I was listening music in a webpage and my antivirus was suddenly acting weird the next day I had a Virus (obvously) when I fixed the computer I intalled firefox and search “something could advertised to me if a wepage is bad or good) and appeared WOT for FIREFOX and incredible ad-on that shows if a webpage is good or bad based on the rating of its user for that I stay with firefox.

    One of my favorites is Facebook. I really enjoy the add on for Flash game player. Really picked up speed and doesn’t seem to crash as much or freeze.

    Firefox is jackpot which contains of so-many features.
    in Firefox every addon is having of unique feature and it is having extension according to the use of users with integration for firebox browsers extension.
    Firefox has a tons of features with un-replacable addons which has not available on others browsers.

    some of my favorite plugin below:
    1) firebug (very helpful tool for debugging, i like each tab like net, console etc)
    2) firecookie (for seeing cookies)
    3) xmark (for managing bookmark)
    4) web developer toolbar(development)
    5) measureIt (capturing image widthXheight)
    6) last pass(store passwords)
    7)idm(video downloader)
    Firefox having of more plugins and addons like video converters ,pdf to word converters and many toolbars.

    I want the security of knowing who is watching where my family and I go on the internet. There are many bad people out there and many advertising companies selling your information. I want the ability to watch them as they watch us. This is a very useful tool. It will also help me to protect my family.

    My admin panel expires login credentials for each 5 mins. I had to log in again and again with lengthy passwords whenever i don’t use. After i installed, “Reload” addon, i almost saved 10% of my overall workload time!. Simple and great addon!

    I have been using Firefox fox 5 years and must say that my favourite add-on contnues to be Every Video Download Helper. I use it every day to download tons of youtube songs videosmovies. It is a must have, and it is very useful to me and everybody. The developer of the add-on get’s my vote for this great add

    I’m an advertising major and a digital media specialist. You’ll probably laugh when you hear that my favorite add-on is AdBlock Plus. I love having the ability to view other people’s ads only when I choose to. My philosophy about successful advertising is make it compelling and interesting so it isn’t interrupting people’s lives but becomes something they choose to view. While advertisers are figuring that out, there’s AdBlock Plus. I love it!

    Firefox is my most favorite browser…i don’t know how to express it but without firefox browsing is a kind of vomiting for me…Firefox just became my hero when i got the add-on “Fire download” which increases Firefox’s speed by 10X. I love it so much…….. 🙂

    I love Last Pass!! I don’t have the greatest memory anymore and being able to store passwords and other information helps tremendously!! I love also that it fills forms for me and I can store everyone in my family in it. It’s great! Thanks for creating such a great add on! Oh and I can keep it password protected!!

    i talk to people all over the world every day and it’s essential for me to know the time and date of those I’m speaking with, I find Foxclocks to be perfect for that. For websurfing, Adblock, and Ghostery are essential for eliminating the corporate invasion.

    My Favourite Addon Is Add Block Plus. It is one of the most important addon.
    recently i was facing a problem of advertisements and now its very easy to disable advertisements.
