Localization communities in India have recently had the opportunity to work closely with a L10n driver in L10n sprints this last month. Our very own, Arky, held a few L10n sprints in the country last month: one in Pune, one in Bangalore, and one in Chennai.
The primary focus behind these L10n sprints were education and evangelism. The sprints were each divided into three modules:
· Introduction to mozilla L10n
· Localization using web-based tools (Narro)
· Localization using Mercurial tools
Participants in the sprints received hands-on training on best practices when localizing mozilla applications and web sites. They also had the opportunity to voice their opinions on recent updates to the L10n documentation, the mentoring program, and what this year has in store for the mozilla L10n communities.
