  • hotfix – media crash (pref flip, sylvestre is doing this) for linux/xp users.
  • UA string change for video support
  • Potential ride-along in a (third) 43 dot release (mentioned by Johnny)
    • bug 1217170 YouTube serves 360p VP8 video instead of Flash video to FF 40+
  • FF44
    • 44 beta 2 should go live today with sha2 patch2
    • We aren’t planning to do a beta 3 (beta 4 will gtb next Monday)

Overall rate: 1.1 – yellow, slightly up from last week of 43

  • bug 1212133 (a11y::DocAccessible::RemoveDependentIDsFor) is 2.2% of 44.0b1 data
  • bug 1233481 (js::AutoEnterOOMUnsafeRegion::crash) is 2.0%
  • bug 1215970 (CondVar::Wait) is 1.5%, see release
  • bug 1217135 (layers::ImageBridgeChild::EndTransaction) is 1.3%
  • bug 1234170 (nsIWebSocketChannel::Serial) is 1.2%
  • bug 1233962 (net::InterceptedChannelBase::DoNotifyController) is 1.1%

Release

Overall rate: 1.0 – yellow (almost green), on the upper edge of what 42 data looked like

  • bug 1215970 (CondVar::Wait) is 4.5% of 43.0.1 data, still correlated to Skype CtP <–!!!!!!!
  • bug 1207993 (Intel driver crash) is 1.6%, trying to tackle this with a downloadable blocklist

User Advocacy

Yahoo Toolbar is the biggest source of new feedback (~13% of all feedback, and many Sumo threads). MConnor is managing that relationship at the moment and providing updates.
Most of the other addon signing feedback is tapering off

State of the SHA-ZOMG

  • thanks oremj, jeremy, jlund, rail, bhearsum, pmac, travis, laura, et al for the bouncer and watershed
  • especially thanks cornel, alexandra, SV folks doing so much testing
  • I think we are as ready as possible (almost?)
  • xp users pinned to versions with patch 1 (prepping windows maintenance service)
  • Versions with the 2nd patch should release today (we still need to re-land patch 2 on aurora)

Today: Unlocking Aurora Today. Need to put rules in place for Patch 2. This needs to be unlocked today. So, the patch is on Aurora but users can’t access it yet. SV did test (on the auroratest channel). Update testing requires watershed being in place. Watersheds are in place for nightly. Need to update it for Aurora (first patch but not patch 2 yet) and for Beta (?)

M-R: Has Patch 1 and WS Patch 1
M-R will have Patch 2 and WS Patch 2
Beta: Patch 1 has landed and users have it, Patch 2 is landing today on Beta and another WS rule for that for Patch 2
