  1. It would be nice if Lightning as a Thunderbird extension would allow me to select an appt. date/time in an email, pop up a menu item to add it to my calendar w/the email title as the topic.
I often get meeting notices this way. Some programs, like GroupWise (yuck) support this kind of functionality.
    Thanks.

  2. Man… That’s a lot of bugs fixed. Great work to everyone involved!

  3. Great work guys and gals…. man this product is getting closer every day…
i’m using this product (post .3) in a 20 plus user office environment.. I’d like to contribute. let me know if I can….

(I’m using cosmo as my ics server)

  4. Wow. January? That’s pretty quick. Development is really speeding up aye? Looking forward to that 1.0 release when it finally comes. :-) Good work.

  5. Hi Team,
bug 332063 (and perhaps bug 358775) is still not fixed. In my build (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061108 Calendar/0.4a1) is no week-printing option.

  6. Michael,
    in my build (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061108 Calendar/0.4a1) I can choose between printing a list, a monthly grid or a weekly planner.
Are you sure, that those options aren’t available in your print dialog? Could you try it with a new profile?

  7. Sounds great. What happed to the nightly developer builds for those of us who want to live on the bleeding edge?

  8. Hi Simon,
youre right. My “old” profile (with all my dates and events) was the reason…
How can I restore my dates?
Greets and zhanks for your great work
    Mille

  9. Hi Simon (the second),
    it was the German language-pack….

  10. scatterlined,
nightly builds are available as always from the mozilla.org ftp server.
The links to those builds are on the homepage of this weblog.

  11. I’m using the latest lightning nightly with Thunderbird 1.5.0.8. Is there a way to control WHICH calendar an event is added to when clicking the “Add To Calendar” button on an ics meeting email?

  12. I love lightning. I was wondering if you guys were considering adding “Make Event/Task from this email(s)” functionality and allowing us to associate emails with events and tasks (both new and already existing).
I live and die by my Inbox and basically right now convert emails into tasks and events manually even though they are both in the same app.
    Just curious?

  13. Hey there,
Just throwing up a possible bug.
Currently with Sunbird, we’re experiencing crashes if we load up quite a few calendars (around 15+ looks like).
I originally thought it was just the one machine doing it, but I’ve been able to replicate it on multiple computers.
Just FYI – I know its an extreme problem as people wouldnt generally be using that many calendars at once

  14. I would like to see better integration into Thunderbird. Currently the integration puts the month calendar and to do lists in the same pane as my mailboxes, making it difficult to see either of them to the extent I want. Can’t we get a welcome screen like in Outlook? You know, one with our daily agenda, our to do list and a list of our mailboxes with the number of new messages listed?
From there we could go into the calendar, email or to do list.

  15. is there any chance to an earlier 0.4 version?

  16. I know Sunbird has webdav support for publishing, any chance we can implement ftp as well (as ftp is such a pervasive protocol, it would benefit a large audience).

  17. Michel, Sunbird does support the FTP protocol.
