Daniel landed some highly demanded iTIP/iMIP features today, and we want to put email-based scheduling (iTIP/iMIP support) to the acid test on our testday, tomorrow, Thursday, July 17th.
The landed patch allows the user to select an Email Identity for a calendar, which in turn is useful for accepting invitations so that the application can determine which identity to use when sending a reply. Also, calendar providers were given more control of how invitations are handled.
Join us in the #calendar-qa IRC channel tomorrow. All the information on the testday is on our usual Test Day wiki page.
Hope to see you in #calendar-qa!

I’ve downloaded the latest nighlty for lightning and the General calendar cannot be loaded now. Lightning complains with the below error:
[Exception… “‘[JavaScript Error: “getZones has no properties” {file: “file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/…/Thunderbird/Profiles/gyvdatxq.default/extensions/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/js/calStorageCalendar.js” line: 1221}]’ when calling method: [calICalendar::uri]” nsresult: “0x80570021 (NS_ERROR_XPC_JAVASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)” location: “JS frame :: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/…/Thunderbird/Profiles/gyvdatxq.default/extensions/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/js/calCalendarManager.js :: cmgr_createCalendar :: line 527” data: yes]
I am not sure if my default calendar is destroyed now.
I’ve tried to roll back to a previous nightly (11-07-2008) and the lightning extension is disabled as it complains that the calendar data is modified by a newer version and the lightning extension will be disabled.
deleting the storage.sdb file works as it gets recreated after startup but you’ll lose all your calendar-data in the local calendars. I ran into this myself and I tried to reproduce this in a fresh profile but I couldn’t. Perhaps you have a recent restore-point in windows so you can save the data you had up till the date of the restorepoint?
I am having trouble using Sunbird 0.8 on my Vista 64-bit computer: nothing can be added to the calendar. Anybody else seen this?
John, This will probably (we don’t know for 100% sure yet) be fixed by the code in bug 330272:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=330272
It would be great if we could get more confirmations.
Yes, deleting the storage.sdb file worked. Thanks for the tip. I think this is an eye opener for me to always create and use calendars as network calendars. In that case I have less chances of losing the ics file or the file getting corrputed.
Thank you Bas van den Bosch for the reply. I downloaded the latest nightly build, but I still have the same problem. Hope to see it solved soon.
