Lightning 1.0 Beta 2 will have a second release candidate

Due to (at least) bug 570394 and bug 570464, we need to respin for rc2. This will happen quite soon (in the next few days), since we need to keep up with the release dates for Thunderbird 3.1.

If you are a localizer and would like to do any further changes for 1.0b2, please file a bug and contact me as soon as possible.

  1. I am on dual boot system (ubuntu 10.04 and windows xp), I shared the thunderbird profile on ntfs with windows and ubuntu. I have lightning installed, but since xpi is not unified either windows or linux xpi can be selected.. Is there any way to combine both linux and windows xpi into one file so that if I reach from Linux, it would use linux binaries, if I reach from Windows, it would use window dll.
    How can I do that?
    thanks

  2. hi Phillip
    I am using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100608 Lightning/1.0b2pre Thunderbird/3.1.
The calendar is working, but it still has the same problem with the previous version I used in TB 3.0.4. The box of “notify attendees” is dim and cannot be used.
    any idea ? thanks

  3. Hey,
there is a way of creating a merged XPI, which did work for older Versions of Lighning, but i couldn’t quite figure it out for TB3 yet either..
