Sunbird all around the world

It’s only been four days, since we released Sunbird 0.3 alpha1 and thanks to the Mozilla L10n community we already have four localizations (French, German, Polish and Slovenian) available for download.

If you want to be part of this and would like to provide a localization for Sunbird 0.3 alpha1 you can follow the instructions on the wiki. If you need more help on this, there are helpful people in the netscape.public.mozilla.l10n newsgroup, which can help you.

If you have builds for the different platform ready, please post the URLs to these builds in a comment to this blog post and I’ll add them to the l10n download page shortly after that.

  3. Hello, I am in charge of Slovenian localization. We’ve been told that localizations will come after the backend code gets rewritten. Now it’s lightning integration. When will automatic building of localized builds be available from your servers? I know there was a bug preventing this, has it been squashed already? I think that localization is at the heart of mozilla/ff/th success and it should not be ignored or seen as unwanted bloat from calendar/lightning/sunbird developers. If you intend to include localized builds let’s say in mid-February, you should contact all localization teams now already, so they can update all localizations and be ready when you need it … Just my 2 cents.
