  1. Hi,
I won’t be able to participate in the test day but wanted to report a possible bug and make a comment.
Bug?) I installed a nightly build of lightning on a mac (10.4.x). It worked but after a while (possibly closing/reopening thunderbird) the day view button disappeared.
Comment 1) The day view seem to be available when looking at email rather than the calendar (I’m having to remember now its disappeared). I’m not sure that this is the logical way around. I think it’s better to leave the email view unaltered.
    2) the buttons to switch between calendar and mail at the bottom of the right pane are a great improvement. But I’d prefer them in the tool bar. They shorten my right pane, which is annoying, and I’m not sure why they shouldn’t simply be in the tool bar like everything else.
Apologies for not being able to participate properly.
    nathan

  2. I tried downloading and installing lightning.xpi from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8/ on OSX 10.4.9 with the standard release of thunderbird 2.0.0.5.
I received the error “Lightning” could not be installed because it is not compatible with your Thunderbird build type (Darwin_x86-gcc3). Please contact the author of this item about the problem.
Doesn’t that stem from lightning not being a universal build? I thought as of 0.5 all nightly builds were going to be universal?

  3. jon, unfortunately only the 0.5 release build of Lightning is universal. The nightly builds are still PPC-only. We’re working on that though.
